The Bluecoats: A new pub for Tottenham

On 7 June we were invited to the private launch of The Bluecoats pub on Tottenham High Road. The Bluecoats have taken over from The Pride of Tottenham, gutted the building and given it a total revamp. They’ve moved the bar to the back of the main space, with an events room and kitchen (which will be the home of popular burger restaurant Lucky Chip) upstairs. The building was built in 1835 and was originally a girls school.

Tom Gibson of Ruby’s in Dalston and Jamie Rule and Louis Hyams of Night Tales and Backround Bars are the brains behind the promising pub.

Here are a few snaps. (We enjoyed sampling some of the beers and mini burgers).

The Bluecoats is officially open now (6pm Friday 8 June). Visit their website for more info.
