DT Presents: the Voices of Tottenham podcast #2 – Klearjos Papanicolaou (Seven Sisters Market Film)

Discovering Tottenham presents our second podcast in our Voices of Tottenham series. We spoke to Klearjos Eduardo Papanicolaou the Director of the Seven Sisters Market film. Hear us discuss the key themes and characters of the film, thoughts on gentrification, tips on film making and how the film has been received so far.

The Seven Sisters Market film was a project of Papanicolaou’s and producer and editor Marios Kleftakis and was released earlier in 2016. You can find out more about the film on their website and also keep an eye out for upcoming screenings on their Facebook page.

If you want to find out more about the regeneration plans for the market you can find them here. There are also ongoing campaigns to save the market and restore it rather than demolish and rebuild it. Check out Latin Corner UK and the Wards Corner Community Coalition.

If you want to visit the market, it’s open Monday – Saturday, 9am – 7pm, opposite Seven Sisters tube station.
